Talk Title: FPGA Enabled Smart Embedded Vision
About the speaker: Dipl.-Ing. (FH)Jens Hüttemann has over 20 years of semiconductor experience. He started his career in the EDA business working for Mentor Graphics. In 2008 he joined Microsemi (recently acquired by Microchip) as Field Application Engineer supporting a wide range of products with particular emphasis on FieldProgrammable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

Microchip serves over 70,000 customers in more than 65 countries who are designing high-volume embedded control applications in the consumer, automotive, office-automation, communications and industrial-control markets worldwide. Speaker 2: Thomas Brand, Field Applications Engineer at Analog Devices GmbH

Talk Title: Robots and Cobots, Complex Systems – Multiple Technologies
About the speaker: Thomas Brand began his career at Analog Devices in Munich in October 2015 as part of his master's thesis. From May 2016 to January 2017, he was part of a trainee program at Analog Devices. Afterwards in February 2017, he moved into the role as Field Applications Engineer. Within this role, he supports large customers in the industrial segment on a technical level. He first studied electrical engineering at theUniversity of Cooperative Education in Mosbach before completing his postgraduate studies in International Sales with a Master's degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance.

Speaker 3: Helfried Peyrl, CTO at Reactive Robotics

Talk Title: Robotics for Good - The Future Hospital
About the speaker: Helfried is an industry expert on automation and control and leads our technical development. He obtained his diploma in mechanical engineering and economics at Graz University of Technology in 2002. He then joined the Automatic Control Laboratory at ETH Zurich, where he conducted research in the areas of control and optimization. He graduated with a PhD degree in electrical engineering (2009) and obtained a post-graduate diploma in information technology (2008). Helfried joined ABB Corporate Research in 2010, where he was working as a principal scientist and was responsible for the management of industrial R&D projects (5+ man years) in close collaboration with the business unit Discrete Automation and Motion. He published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in the areas control and optimization in international journals and conferences. Helfried has joined Reactive Robotics in January 2016 as chief technology officer.
About the company: Reactive Robotics's goal is to bring Very Early Mobilization to patients who need it most. VEMO helps patients and supports nurses as well as therapists. They combine rehabilitation robotics research with a large clinical network - Vast start-up experience with executive business leadership with customer focus - Programming – engineering and quality enthusiasm.
