Talk Title: Mesh technologies for the Smart Home. Is using Thread too risky?
About the speaker: Pascal has held positions at Audi, Diebold Nixdorf and Bosch. He is now Product Manager at Panasonic Industry Europe, headquartered in Munich. He is responsible for wireless connectivity for Panasonic in Europe mainly for Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity modules.
About the company: Panasonic Industry Europe  is part of the global Panasonic Group and provides industrial products and services in Europe. Their portfolio includes electronic and electro-mechanical devices, rechargeable batteries, displays, semiconductors and factory automation solutions for a broad range of industries such as automotive and mobility, building and infrastructure, home and personal, production and logistics, medical and healthcare.

Speaker 2: Jon Carter - UK Head of Business Development, Connected Home at Deutsche Telekom

Talk Title: Monetising the Machine
About the speaker: Jon has worked in and around the connected home space since the early 2000s, and has a deep knowledge of the UK and European market, and in particular what will finally drive growth in this market.  He has previously consulted for both E.ON Group and RWE npower on their connected home strategies.
About the company: Deutsche Telekom is the largest telecommunications provider in Europe. Their Smart Home offering includes a platform, gateways, apps, compatible devices and full suite of services. DT's open platform enables companies to develop new solutions, extend existing products and adapt to new market potential.

Speaker 3: Łukasz Duda - Thread Team Leader and Firmware Engineer (Nordic Semiconductor)

Talk Title: Why choose a single wireless protocol if you can have them all?
About the speaker: : Łukasz Duda has been working at Nordic Semiconductor for more than 4 years. He is an enthusiast and evangelist for embedded IoT technologies. In his professional career, he pioneered the use of IPv6 over BLE and leads a team delivering a Thread protocol solution. In his free time, Łukasz likes to spend time with his recently born son and actively plays volleyball and chess.
About the company: Nordic Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company specialising in ultra low power (ULP) short-range wireless communication. The company’s range of 2.4GHz transceiver and transmitter devices are employed by some of the world’s leading brands in a wide variety of applications like wireless keyboard and mouse, game controllers, and intelligent sports equipment. Nordic is an associate member of the Bluetooth SIG, and has contributed core expertise in ULP RF design to Bluetooth low energy wireless technology.
