Talk Title: From Cloud to Fog: How IoT solutions are evolving from Connected to Smart to Autonomous
About the speaker: Brian works with Intel's industry partners to examine how technology can solve problems not just in IT but also in Line-of-Business. With over 25 years experience in Automation and IT, Brian is Intel’s technical lead in EMEA supporting Enterprise customers in adopting new, transformative technologies in the Transportation vertical. He is an Electrical Engineer and is based at Intel’s FAB24 site near Dublin, Ireland.

Gareth Sumner, Foresight Manager, Transport Innovation Directorate at TfL

Talk Title: Using smart mobility to create a more liveable London
About the speaker: Gareth advises on the technological, social and environmental changes likely to occur over the next twenty years and how TfL should respond to the opportunities and challenges that they present, in order to make London a more liveable city. With an academic background in engineering, design and innovation he has spent ten years in the urban design industry exploring how cities can be made better for people. Gareth led the Future Streets Incubator Fund which invested £3 million on new approaches to design and technology that could enhance London’s streets.

Elizabeth Da Silva - Head of Rail at TE Connectivity

About the speaker: Elizabeth joined TE in 2011 to support the HV Rail team, she holds a PhD in HV from the University of Manchester. Elizabeth has over 25 years of experience in HV Power Systems with a strong track record of achievements in the Academy, Applied Research & Development and Project Managing. A Senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer with more than 50 fully reviewed international technical papers.
